Music permeates my life, but the Interpol lyric in my headline is actually a lie. My heart's in good repair, because it's been three years since anyone touched it. I try to figure out exactly what it is about me that keeps women from being interested in me romantically, and I come up blank.

Driving across the country, windows down, smoking the occassional cigar. Music loud in the day, singing along as badly as we can. The passenger can help out the driver with harmony and opening drinks. Night driving with books on tape, finding roadside attractions. Laying on the hood of the car side by side, warm from the engine, wishing on shooting stars. Choosing hotels based on town name absurditiy. Room service and staying an extra day because we were too busy the first night to sleep.
